I’ve posted on how whiny she was before, but hot damn, Annabeth is so much more kick-ass than her. My likeness towards Piper shouldn’t be relative to how much I like other female characters, but I was thinking that maybe Rick Riordan just sucks at writing female characters. WRONG.
Piper’s just lame.

Leighton Meester you are perfection.
Gosh, if Leighton Meester couldn’t be Piper McLean because of age, couldn’t she be Aphrodite? Who says Aphrodite had to be middle aged? She’s a goddess! I think Leighton would play the perfect part to be that classy, fashionable, effortless beauty. Damn, she even got Botticelli’s POV of Venus’s body.
If Leighton Meester were younger, I’d actually vote her as a Piper McLean dream cast. Maybe that would make Piper McLean actually more likable!

- Jason fess up and be my boyfriend even though we’ve technically only known each other a few days/months, and our supposed past was just fake memories, while Jason and Reyna knew each other for years and have been together as complicated friends since forever.
- I was blessed by my mom at claiming and was beautiful no matter what I did.

- I have great hair, but I want to cut it uneven.
- I go to wonderful, expensive, boarding schools, but I want Dad’s attention, so I’m gunna mess it up.

I could go on and on. I can’t sympathize over her. I just can’t understand this girl.
- I think Jason Grace sounds freakin’ beautiful and hot. When he boasted and introduced himself to Porphyrion, I think I just about died.
- Piper McLean is annoying. Sorry, I just can’t seem to like her character. She sounds whiny and prissy to me??! Like… if I had to compare her, she’s like Lola of Gossip Girl Season 5. The self-righteous, I’m too good to be girly kind of girl. I get that she’s kindof tomboyish, but I don’t like girls that act like they’re better just because they don’t care about fashion or make-up. Besides that, there’s something about her that I don’t like, but I can’t specifically point out. It sucks because I was trying desperately to like her, but I just couldn’t.
- LEO IS GREAT. LEO IS AMAZING. He pretty much has the best lines in the book. Out of the three, Leo is the most redeeming character, which is ironic because he feels like he’s just the third wheel sidekick in the book.
- I miss Percy.
- I’m kinda sad Drew had to be described as Asian because I think she was the first Asianesque character described in the series, and she had to be the annoying, bitchy one.
You guys should check out The Dark is Rising Sequence by Susan Cooper if you haven’t already.
The movie version of it was utterly horribly done and should not undermine the actual books. Although, as a consolation for the Tributes, the actor that played Cato in the THG movie was also The Dark is Rising’s lead, Will Stanton.
This series seriously needs a fanbase equal to these other series, and I think you guys would enjoy it as much.
